ABOUT US
Scholarly Tutorial Services was started in 2004. At that time, general tutoring was offered in a variety of subjects in mathematics and the sciences. At the present, mathematics is our chosen specialty for its where we can serve students the best!
As its founder, my history with tutoring began well before that time. Based on word of mouth, I would get clients even in high school. Entering university left little time for tutoring, however, I reengaged my desire to tutor from time to time. In addition to currently working for myself, I have worked for two larger tutoring franchises (Varsity Tutors, Mathnasium).
This span of experience has led to a number self-learning episodes, always asking myself how can I tutor better? The latest iteration of this is the website you see here! I hope to serve your mathematics education needs in the most professional way I can!

PS. The following to the end of the page is how the whole process works!
BEFORE MAKING A TUTORING RESERVATION
We pride ourselves at being exceedingly organized! To get started, we center our activity around a tutoring contract. A fifteen minute consultation, over the phone, is set up to discuss your math needs, the tutoring contract, and making sure the person making tutoring reservations is over 18. To start, just contact me!
After initial discussion during the first 15 minute consultation, you can ask you to make a second. This is also free! Any further questions on the tutoring contract can be resolved.
MAKING A TUTORING RESERVATION
Once a tutoring contract has been signed off on, you can proceed to make tutoring reservations!
Making a reservation is easy! Follow the links to Contact or Reserve, and let me know your tutoring needs by email, text, or phone call.
Our standard methodology is to require at least 2 days notice! This is so that we can prepare adequately to be the most cost effective for you are client!
AFTER YOU MAKE A RESERVATION
Subsequent of a reservation, please send 1 or more sample problems that interest you. It will give us a basis for the tutoring session. I am fairly confident in my ability to help you, but my own working of the sample problems gives me further confidence I can provide the greatest value. I want your payment to be worth it! And I will do my best to insure that. My own work of the sample problems is covered in the cost of the session. I actually enjoy any practice!
A look at the sample problems also allows me to evaluate whether I am a match for tutoring you. In the event I find the help you need is outside of my expertise, I will gladly bring this to your attention so you can plan accordingly.
HOW TO SEND SAMPLE PROBLEMS
Sending images of recent problems via email attachment works well!
THE TUTORING SESSION
You will get an email with your zoom details upon making a reservation. In it, is a link to change or delete the zoom meeting. Zoom sessions may be recorded and you are welcome to record them too!
SATISFIED/UNSATISFIED WITH SESSION
If for any reason, you are unsatisfied with how the zoom session went, you can confidently express your thoughts about this, and there will be no charge. One or both parties can decided to continue further tutoring from there. However, if you are satisfied, you are more than welcome to schedule future sessions! We work hard for repeat customers, and to earn good/great testimonials!
TESTIMONIALS
I am so pleased to write on behalf of Raymond Byczko, whom has tutored me for the past year. When we first started working together I had just received a D+ in a collegiate level Pre-Calculus with Trigonometry course and was worried about how I would pass the course the second time around. The following semester I was able to receive an A+ in the course after weekly sessions with Raymond. I knew I could always rely on him to be punctual, patient, and teach in a manner that was conducive to my learning style. I was so pleased I decided to ask him to tutor me again to pass my Applied Calculus course, in which I was able to receive a B. student - J - 2021-2022
